Klopp reveals Liverpool's 'long meeting' after Swansea

Jurgen Klopp has revealed that following Saturday's disappointing 2-3 loss to Premier League strugglers Swansea City, the Liverpool players were called in for a long "clear-the-air" meeting the following day. It is not as though we are a team at the bottom of the league that has to defend 80% or 90% of the time.

The former Liverpool captain will be based at the club's youth complex in Kirkby, helping the professional development of their young players. Klopp did feel that Liverpool failed to take their chances, and was not happy with his team's defensive errors. "We scored enough goals to win the games".

"We made other mistakes than not scoring enough goals". "It's pretty hard to overlook him, huh?"

"There was almost everything wrong around this goal", he continued.

Liverpool have won just one of six games in 2017, and Klopp indicated that the club had missed out on their targets despite being willing to offer a premium on any players they were looking to sign. They played a few of these.

"We were too passive".

Liverpool's tiredness and Swansea's poor defense could combine to produce an exciting match between two sides from opposite ends of the table. "That makes no sense".

National Mall crowd was bigger for Women's March than Trump inauguration
The new president vowed to not impose America's way of life on other nations and to fight "radical Islamic terrorism". A lot of this came to the forefront and these conversations came to the forefront during the election cycle.

The win may spring new life into Swansea, which hung on to record consecutive league away wins for the first time since May 2015 and continues its survival bid.

Paul Clement's side have an extremely hard task if they are to come away from Anfield with any points, but the Swans could be facing Liverpool at the right time.

"We had a very, very good, very long talk together", Klopp told a news conference on Monday afternoon. You have to give him service. That can come from set-plays or from crosses. "I want to keep him". That's what I want, not what's happened before.

But Clement's men showed true character to keep fighting and grab the victor through Gylfi Sigurdsson - earning a precious three points for their battle to avoid relegation.

Hindsight is obviously 20/20, and the fact that now-indispensable cogs in the Liverpool machine such as Mane, Matip and Gini Wijnaldum were brought on only this past summer is a testament to the overall net positive that Klopp's first proper foray into the transfer market has represented at Anfield.

The second half really kicked into life when Dejan Lovren handed us a corner under very little pressure and Fernandez' unchallenged header dropped the ball nicely for Llorente to, quite literally, poke home.
