Sutton United vs Arsenal

Wes Brown has given some advice to Man United ace Marcus Rashford

FA Cup hero Matt Rhead would love to give Arsenal the old Stokie treatment in the quarter finals of the FA Cup.

Today Arsenal have to travel down the road to face non-League side Sutton United, which may look like an easy tie on paper, but after seeing another non-league side, Lincoln, knock out Burnley on Saturday, we cannot take an easy win for granted. Their Champions League campaign is nearly as good as over after the 5-1 thrashing they received at the Allianz Arena.

Lincoln have become the first non-league team in 103 years to reach the last eight, and Sunday evening's draw saw them handed a mouthwatering trip to the Emirates Stadium or an all-National League meeting with Sutton.

Wenger has demanded that his team do not take their eyes off the ball against Sutton, who play on a potentially problematic plastic pitch, and reassured those supporters questioning his position at the club that his hunger for success is as voracious as it ever was.

The former Manchester United academy graduate has got just 114 minutes of game time under his belt this season but will be desperate to break his way back into the team sooner rather than later, as Arsenal head into the business end of the campaign.

For those willing to stake a little bigger and seeking a larger return, albeit at a short price, there's also the chance to place £25 on the away win and get £75 back if the Gunners see off the 25/1 (26.0) underdogs at Gander Green Lane.

He has not won the league title since 2004, and calls for him to end his association with Arsenal have grown louder since the 1-5 UEFA Champions League thrashing at Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

Five-star Bayern Munich thrash Arsenal as Real Madrid put three past Napoli
Bayern, who knocked out Arsenal at this stage of the competition in 2005, 2013 and 2014, got off to a flawless start. Wenger is due to speak publicly again on this morning.

Wenger, who may be without injured defender Laurent Koscielny for the cup tie, denied reports of a dressing room bust-up after the defeat at Bayern's Allianz Arena.

Sutton also claimed the Anglo-Italian Cup in 1979 when the competition was contested between English and Italian semi-professional clubs.

Not that these Arsenal fans seem to think so.

A hard couple of weeks for the Gunners could be about to get a whole lot worse if they come away from Sutton with anything less than a convincing win.

"I would say it's more about character and being united because it's important you do not get in a blame culture and focus completely on being united to respond well". Qualifying for the Champions League is certainly no foregone conclusion either with Liverpool and Manchester United closely behind them in the race for the top four. I do not expect too much from outside, I expect more from me inside.

Sutton midfielder Craig Eastmond failed to make the grade at Arsenal after winning the FA Youth Cup in 2009 with current first-teamer and friend Francis Coquelin. Arsene Wenger can afford to rotate a lot, as Arsenal do not play again till the 4 of March.
