MI vs KKR: Gautam Gambhir rues dropped catch, nerves at the death

SRH captain David Warner kept on batting even after the completion of an over

Rohit Sharma against Sunil Narine promises to be an interesting contest in this match; the Trinidadian has dismissed the MI captain on four occasions in the IPL. In eight innings, he made only 112 with an unbeaten 61 against KKR at the Wankhede.

Lynnsanity continues: Kolkata Knight Riders were sent in to bat and all eyes got fixated on Chris Lynn, who had blasted one of the most brutal knocks in an IPL run chase in previous match.

Chris Lynn was the next to go after making an encouraging 32.

Mumbai Indians edged Kolkata Knight Riders in a cliff-hanger with a ball to spare, while defending champions Hyderabad Sunrisers notched their second successive victory in the Indian Premier League on Sunday. At the end of the innings, the Mumbai Indians allowed the KKR to score 178 runs for seven wickets.

Parthiv (30) was eventually trapped leg before by Kuldeep Jadav to leave the Mumbai Indians 65 for 1.

Wenger insists Arsenal 'mentality' is 'healthy' (again)
It's easy when you're winning, but I told the guys forget about this game. I believe what we are missing is backing from the board. If you've got belief, you can win the confidence back.

Mumbai, however, will be without their consistent middle-order batsman Ambati Rayudu who is out for at least 10 days due to a groin injury that he sustained in the last game. Nitish Rana played the star innings for Mumbai smashing 50 valuable runs and the final show was finished by Hardik Pandya where he scored a quick 29 of 11 balls taking Mumbai to the finish line.

Mumbai will be hoping that an extra day's rest they got would stand them in good stead against KKR, who are now playing two away games in three days.

Rana reached his fifty with a six and a four of the first two balls of the 19th over but he fell trying to chip a full ball over point. Hardik was helped in his cause by some poor work on the field by the KKR fielders; Suryakumar Yadav fumbled what should have been a regulation stop at long on and let the ball sail past the ropes, and two balls later the substitute fielder Rishi Dhawan put down a catch.

Fans are used to watching Jos Buttler walk across his stumps scooping the ball over his shoulder for six.

The fielding: KKR captain Gautam Gambhir lamented his side's fielding efforts, with six instances of misfields and dropped catches culminating in his side's first loss of the tournament. Harbhajan Singh, the bowler who caught everyone's attention after MI had chose to bench him in their opening game against Rising Supergiant Pune last week, came in for the injured Ambati Rayudu and was the only bowler who went wicketless for the hosts.
