Syrian President Bashar al-Assad dismisses chemical attack as '100% fabrication'

Russian Federation on Wednesday vetoed a United Nations resolution that would have required Bashar al-Assad's government to co-operate with global inquiries into last week's chemical attack in Syria. Syrian dictator Bashar Assad claims he didn't use chemical weapon against his own people, and adds that any reports claiming that he did are fake news.

US President Donald Trump has repeatedly claimed that Mr Assad is behind the chemical attacks.

US secretary of State Rex Tillerson met with Russian president Vladimir Putin and foreign minister Sergey Lavrov at the Kremlin Wednesday.

It seems Putin agrees.

In an interview with Fox News aired Wednesday, Trump said he broke the news of the US missile strike on Syria during a dinner with Xi and that the Chinese leader "was OK with it" because it was in response to the use of "gases" and victims had included young children and babies.

Russia's hopes for a thaw in Russia-U.S. ties following Trump's election have been shattered by the congressional investigation into alleged ties between Trump's campaign associates and Russian Federation.

A spokesman for the US -led coalition later denied the claim, saying it had carried out no airstrikes in that area at that time.

The U.S. and others blame him for what they believe was a deliberate attack earlier this month that killed more than 100 civilians.

The Orioles tied the score 4-4 in the seventh on an RBI single by Trumbo off Dellin Betances (0-1). The Orioles took a 2-0 lead in the second on a fielder's choice by Trey Mancini and single by J.J.

Tuesday, the White House declassified a USA intelligence report that accused Putin of a cover-up to "confuse" and "obfuscate" on behalf of Assad.

"I would say the level of trust (between Russian Federation and the US) is at a workable level, especially in the military dimension, but it hasn't improved".

But Tillerson spokesman R.C. Hammond says "no agreement was reached".

She said that "the United States, the United Kingdom and France" submitted the resolution because no one should have to endure the horrors of a chemical attack.

But in his latest interview, Assad insisted it was "not clear" whether an attack on Khan Sheikhoun had even happened.

The news conference came after Putin met Tillerson for the first time since Trump took office.

Lavrov says Russian Federation has lots of questions about the "very ambiguous" and "contradictory" ideas coming from the U.S. He says through a translator that it's important for Russian Federation to understand the "real intentions" of the Trump administration.
