Trump talked missile strike with Xi over chocolate cake

Xi Jinping Donald Trump

Trump's choice to launch that missile strike was a surprise about-face after administration officials appeared to take the heat off Syria's president, Bashar Assad, saying the USA would scrap its previous position that Assad could no longer govern.

During an interview with Fox Business which aired Wednesday morning, President Trump once again responded to the flattering attention of a television correspondent by running his mouth, further confirming the disintegration of the United States as a global authority.

"We had a very good bonding", Trump said. More than most presidents, Trump has to rely on his base for political capital. "In other words, we've just launched 59 missiles heading toward Syria".

In the interview, Trump said he told Xi that the U.S.is concerned about the trade deficit with China, "but you want to make a great deal?" But there is some growing into the office and dealing with the real effects of some of the policies, ” said Stephen Moore, a conservative economist who helped craft Trumps economic plans. The Trump administration is considering tougher economic sanctions, including an embargo on oil supplies to North Korea, flight bans, cargo interception and punishment on Chinese banks doing business with North Korea, Reuters reported Thursday, citing unidentified US officials.

What Trump supporters are starting to figure out - something that non-Trump supporters already knew - is that the acting president has a blatant history of contradicting himself.

The recent climb-downs suggest a new president learning that go-it-alone trade policies don't easily work.

"I think you look at the president's position, where he wanted to see North Atlantic Treaty Organisation in particular evolve to, and it's moving exactly in the direction that he said it was in terms of its goals of increasing the amount of participation from other member countries; and two, it's having a greater focus on terrorism", Spicer said.

The president also touched upon other issues such as Vladimir Putin's support of Syria, North Korea and sweeping domestic reforms as promised on the campaign trail.

And will America get cooperation from China in helping the world get rid of the psychopath running North Korea - something Obama never tried to do - now that Trump has put his foot down?

Trump's optimistic prognosis followed his declaration Wednesday that U.S. -Russia relations "may be at an all-time low", and that "right now we're not getting along with Russian Federation at all".

Down the stretch, Rask did what he had to do in order to get Boston into the playoffs. Their Stanley Cup odds are actually tied for fifth with the Chicago Blackhawks.

On top of the learning curve Trump has faced in his new role as president, there are some campaign promises he simply rowed back on between winning the election an his inauguration day.

President Donald Trump's evolution on Syria's criminal president, Bashar al-Assad, did happen head-snappingly fast.

"I think it's wonderful that they abstained".

At a press conference with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg: "The secretary general and I had a productive discussion about what more NATO can do in the fight against terrorism". "We had a very good bonding".

Some have speculated that Mr. Trump's decision to attack Syria sent a useful message to Xi about American willingness to use force against North Korea.

In 2004, one massive flip-flop was a crippling blow to John Kerry's campaign (See: his comments on how he "actually did vote for the $87 billion before I voted against it").

President Donald Trump has praised China for its decision to abstain from voting on a UN Security Council resolution condemning last week's chemical attack on civilians in Syria, terming it an honour for the US.

In the interview, Trump insisted that the United States will not allow North Korea to go nuclear.

As late as November a year ago, after his election victory, he told the New York Times: "I would love to be able to get along with Russian Federation and I think they'd like to be able to get along with us".

But the diplomatic reality has proved much more hard.
