NFL Draft 2017: Worker falls 30 feet while working on stage

NFL Network to have cameras in Chiefs war room

As we've seen with Aaron Rodgers, Brady Quinn and Johnny Manziel, top quarterback prospects tend to fall if teams aren't feeling the pressure to draft at the position. In fact, something almost the opposite, a variation on a less-is-more theme, is truer.

Looking back at 70-plus years of Niners history, let's compile a seven-round NFL Draft selecting the top 49ers player taken in each round.

In summation, the first four spots on the 2017 draft board are now occupied by teams that either don't need a running back at all or don't need a running back with this high of a selection.

Given the quarterback need Cleveland has, it will be surprising to see them not drafting one early on.

Former Denver Bronco great John Lynch walked into a quite a situation when he joined the San Francisco 49ers: 10 picks in the 2017 NFL Draft, including the No. 2 overall pick. In this mock scenario, McKinley is the best available edge rusher listed as a first-rounder on draft boards.

The Bears were among the NFL's most active teams in free agency.

Transition to TE could be in former Fresno State WR Aaron Peck's future - Arizona Cardinals Blog- ESPN Receiver Aaron Peck is looking to find a job in the National Football League this season and his future could be that of a tight end.

Just because there are a lot of enticing corners, however, doesn't mean this draft is loaded with sure-thing prospects at the position. With the Bears sitting at No. 3 this year, the first band in this draft will be a small one.

They're being discussed right now.

World on edge as Trump bombs Syria
Graham said he supports the president's decision to order the strikes, but wants to see more from the administration on Syria. In a phone conversation, the two senior officials described the USA attacks as a "support" for terrorists.

The Browns hold two first-round picks, No. 1 and No. 12, which Cleveland acquired in a trade with Philadelphia. Additionally, Jacksonville (No. 4) could be looking to move on from Blake Bortles, while the Chargers (No. 7) eventually need to find a replacement for 35-year-old Philip Rivers.

The Browns should not feel obligated to draft a quarterback just to draft one.

The Bears do not want to slip out of a band entirely.

But what if they could have their draft cake and eat it, too?

Recent draft-day trades for the Falcons have netted linebacker Deion Jones in 2016, the result of moving back, and defensive tackle Grady Jarrett after moving up in the fifth round in 2015.

But what will the market allow this time? He is not, however, a guy who is going to lead you to the promise land. Pace said. "Those things are all being talked about and studied now, and we'll keep on fine-tuning it". Tennessee would get much better value at those positions by moving down, and could get a valuable additional pick in the process.

But those type of draft-day trades aren't last-minute decisions.

I do know Josh plays hard, he will take any opportunity and run with it (sometimes literally), and he started his college career on a Vols team that was slightly talented and that team (within a few years), became a force to be reckoned with (even in the loaded SEC), and made for some real exciting football. Now, it's time for the NFC champions to add a bookend pass rusher.
