Ariana Grande concert attack: 119 wounded, 64 people still hospitalized

British-born Salman Abedi, 22, blew himself up on Monday night at the packed Manchester Arena at the end of Grande's concert, attended by thousands of children and teenagers, killing 22 people and injuring 64. In 2015, the group was performing at the Bataclan music venue in Paris when it was attacked by terrorists, leaving 130 people dead.

The brother of suicide bomber Salman Abedi who killed 22 people when he launched an attack at an Ariana Grande gig in Manchester has been arrested amid reports he was "planning a terror attack in the Libyan capital".

Even though the senior Abedi denied that he was a member of the Libyan Islamic Fighting group, former Libyan security official Abdel-Basit Haroun told the AP that the elder Abedi was a member in the 1990s of the group, which had links to al-Qaida.

Abedi's sister, 18-year-old Jomana, has worked at the Manchester Islamic Centre's Didsbury Mosque, the Telegraph reported.

A third brother, Ismail, was arrested in Britain on Tuesday.

Manchester Police and United Kingdom officials are still they were working to determine whether Manchester suicide bomber Salman Abedi was operating as a lone wolf, of working with a larger terrorist network. "This is not us".

British police and intelligence agencies arrested three more suspects Wednesday in connection with the Manchester suicide bombing and moved quickly to secure key sites across the country, including Buckingham Palace and the British Parliament at Westminster.

A fifth man was arrested in Manchester on Wednesday afternoon.

"This tactic uses teams of specialist police officers who have been trained to spot the telltale signs that a person may be carrying out hostile reconnaissance or committing other crime".

Hopkins did not provide further detail, but police raids in the area around the south Manchester home of Salman Abedi had already led to increasing suspicions that Abedi was no lone wolf.

Trump to become 6th U.S. president to visit Israel
On Monday and Tuesday, Trump is to visit Israel and the West Bank, for meetings with the Israeli and Palestinian leaders. They might not have been as shocked by this week's events had they not suffered from these delusions in the first place.

The UK's terror-level has also been raised to "critical" in recent hours, meaning that a further terror attack is not only likely but imminent.

French Interior Minister Gerard Collomb told local broadcaster BFM that the 22-year-old is thought to have also travelled to Syria, adding that he had proven links to the so-called "Islamic State" jihadist group.

Rudd said up to 3,800 soldiers could be deployed on Britain's streets, taking on guard duties at places like Buckingham Palace and Downing Street to free up police to focus on patrols and investigation.

Abedi grew up in the Whalley Range area.

Parliament has cancelled all visits and tours and is closed to all non-passholders, while the Scottish Parliament is requiring extra security screening for all - requiring staff and other passholders to go through metal detectors they can usually skip.

In a sign of the increased threat, the military could be deployed to support armed police officers, Mrs May said.

In the search for some humanity amid this tragic situation, reports of Ariana Grande apparently having reached out to the families of victims of the Manchester Arena attack have been seized upon by grieving fans. "As we were discussing news of similar attacks earlier, he was always against those attacks, saying there's no religious justification for them".

The more prominent security presence in London will include armed officers who are supporting what the police call Project Servator. Officials say 20 of them are being treated for critical injuries.

Sixty four people were still hospitalized two days after the blast, Jon Rouse, of the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership, said.
