After complaints about sexism for women-only screening, theater adds more showings

Here's a look at the Facebook reactions

Carter brought Wonder Woman to the small screen for the generation who grew up in the '70s, and now she has passed her golden lasso on to Gadot.

She added: "I think that it's so important that we have also strong female figures to look up to, and Wonder Woman is an awesome one".

Britain raised its terror alert to critical and movie studio Warner Bros. said on Wednesday it had chose to cancel its May 31 premiere in London for "Wonder Woman". "And when we say 'People Who Identify As Women Only, ' we mean it".

Patty Jenkins (l), Gal Gadot and Chris Pine (r) at the premiere of Warner Bros.

Despite Wonder Woman's enormous popularity in the comic-book industry and general pop culture for more than 70 years, her appearance was surprisingly limited to a 1975-79 television series starring Lynda Carter, as well as various animated TV series and animated movies. "How about a "men's only" showing of a movie or is that not how equality works?" Jenkins, who is perhaps best known for her work in the critically-acclaimed Monster, further defended Wonder Woman's status as a feminist icon despite some claiming that the heroine was not suited to be a role model for girls due to her raunchy outfit.

Minnesota leaders plan another run at ending special session
Mark Dayton to publicly declare them all dead on arrival and reset the process", Education Minnesota President Denise Specht said. The House passed a transportation funding bill that relies on general fund revenue to fund road and bridge projects.

One June 2, Wonder Woman is finally going to get the chance to take the spotlight and shine in her own solo movie.

What are your thoughts on Wonder Woman's women-only screening at the Alamo Drafthouse? She directed Monster, the critically acclaimed story of serial killer, Aileen Wuornos. Not only are there plans in place for a sequel to the movie even before it is released, but there are any number of other female superhero movies that will be coming in the near future, both from DC and Marvel. However, Jenkins was supposed to land her first big-studio stint via "Thor: The Dark World" but sadly left due to creative differences. Of course you're upset at not being invited to see Wonder Woman, that's totally discrimination.

Gal Gadot started her acting career in 2009 with Fast & Furious. Denver7 reached out to the cinema to see if more show times will be added.

Regardless, Jenkins hopes that Wonder Woman will be a "great superhero film" for everyone, not just for women.
