'Wonder Woman' gross revised up to $103.1 million

According to Screen Engine ComScore’s updated PostTrak more women than men have flocked to see the movie with 53 percent of audiences made up of females

Not just in India, the movie was ranked number 3 on the United States BO right behind Vin Diesel's Fast and Furious 8 and Salma Hayek's How to be a Latin Love.

Wonder Woman debuted this past weekend to rave reviews, and even more impressive box office earnings.

After hitting cinemas on Friday (June 2), the superhero movie starring Gal Gadot raked in $223 million (£172 million) globally, including a huge $100.5 million (£77.8 million) at the United States box office.

Wonder Woman has shattered records at the USA box office after hauling in over £78 million over the weekend (02-04Jun17). But as X-Men's Storm approached her to fight, Wonder Woman dropped Mjolnir: She only wanted a fair fight.

Wonder Woman opened in Irish cinemas on Thursday, June 1. Check out NME's verdict on the film.

Director Patty Jenkins admits she was not initially thrilled about actress Gal Gadot being chosen for the role of Wonder Woman.

Gal Gadot plays the Amazonian warrior, Wonder Woman who is being very forceful indeed in a superhero landscape that is nearly uniformly male in the new movie, which has received mixed reviews.

US job market looks solid 8 years after recession ended
Job growth in health care has averaged 22,000 per month thus far in 2017, compared with an average monthly gain of 32,000 in 2016. Dow futures were up about 67 points, S&P 500 futures were up 5 points, and Nasdaq futures were up 18 points.

"All the noise about Patty Jenkins breaking the glass ceiling for directors, I think that added to it as well".

"The surreality of, 'I can't believe we're getting to make Wonder Woman,' and also, 'Oh my God, we have to make the greatest Wonder Woman of all time!' " she said.

Jenkins says that she wrapped production on the film in November of 2015, but realized that one scene didn't play out as intensely as she wanted.

"Wonder Woman" is getting a lot of praise after its opening weekend, and it deserves it.

There are diminishing returns, to be sure, but so far it looks like Wonder Woman certainly isn't among them. "Wonder Woman's" opening weekend has definitely proven that a sequel could be another hit for the female-led franchise.

In the realm of X-Men movies, Wonder Woman only falls behind The Last Stand and Deadpool (US$132.4 million), though it still has a fair shot of earning more than the former.
