Clinging on to her job, Britain's May appoints new ministers

She launched the two-year countdown to Britain s exit from the European Union on March 29 before announcing snap elections less than three weeks later, causing precious haggling time to be lost. "May's departure from Downing St.is remorseless".

May had spent the campaign denouncing Corbyn as the weak leader of a spendthrift party that would crash Britain's economy and flounder in Brexit talks, while she would provide "strong and stable leadership" to clinch a good deal for Britain.

May sought to frame the campaign around Brexit, but two terror attacks put scrutiny on her record of cutting police numbers, turning to the debate back to austerity, which Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn promised to end. The result was a hung Parliament, with no party big enough to form an overall majority.

She seems secure for the immediate future, because senior Conservatives don't want to plunge the party into a damaging leadership contest.

Thinking she could solidify her majority, she held a snap election this week-but the public that had voted for Brexit turned on her and took away the Conservatives' majority in Parliament.

True, the Labour Party won 29 seats (controlling now 261 seats).

Speaking shortly before the announcement of Mrs May's visit to the Palace, Ms Foster said it was "too soon to say" what would happen and predicted it would be "difficult" for the Prime Minister to continue in her role.

"I don't think throwing us into a leadership battle at this moment in time, when we are about to launch into these hard negotiations, would be in the best interests of the country", Evans said.

It is also the latest in a series of startling election results, from Donald Trump's victory in the U.S.to Emmanuel Macron's in France. Northern Irish political party.

Similarly, the chief election commissioner said it has laid down that a candidate can file a maximum of four nomination papers. He said that the ECI is taking all necessary steps to ensure free and fair elections to the office of President of India .

In a night that redrew the political landscape once again, the UK Independence Party (UKIP) lost millions of voters, triggering the resignation of its leader Paul Nuttall.

The London Evening Standard, edited by former finance minister George Osborne who was sacked by May, splashed with a photo of her under the headline "Queen of Denial".

But he added that Labour still lost the election, leaving his Nottingham East constituency with a Conservative government "they do not need" - and the party with questions about how to convince voters it can move from "protesting about a government into being the government".

Theresa May has lost her mandate. "Jeremy Corbyn has done a huge job here, he's done pretty well on Snapchat, Facebook, you know - stuff young people look at - and we've been inspired by this", French said.

As the party with the most seats and votes "it will be incumbent on us to ensure that we have that period of stability and that is exactly what we will do".

Conservative lawmaker Anna Soubry said she should "consider her position", while another, Heidi Allen, said she may not last six months.

Timothy and Hill had worked for May when she was interior minister, before she became premier in July past year in the chaotic days that followed the Brexit vote.

The Prime Minister has insisted she will remain on schedule to negotiate Britain's European Union exit, however, Europeans don't believe Brussels have anyone to negotiate with, according to Tanit Koch, editor-in-chief of German newspaper Bild.

Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson, often tipped as a potential successor to Mrs May as Tory leader, said: "We've got to listen to our constituents and listen to their concerns". In fact, the Conservatives swept the southern seats of Scotland formerly belonging to the SNP.
