Did Russia Interfere in the Election, Collect Info on Trump — Putin Interview

In the halcyon first days of his administration, Trump believed there was no challenge too confounding, no conflict too intractable for his son-in-law to tackle.

Speaking during an interview for NBC News" "Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly' he addressed claims that Russian Federation had become involved in the United States election by saying "it wouldn't make sense for us to interfere".

"When I came to the event for our company, Russia Today, and sat down at the table, next to me there was a gentleman sitting on one side", Putin said in an NBC News interview on Sunday night.

Putin suggested that skilled hackers anywhere, including the USA, could shift the blame for computer breaches on to Russian Federation.

"We have a rough idea of what is going to happen", he indicated.

"They have been misled", Putin told Kelly when she told him that American intelligence agencies had concluded that Russian Federation interfered in the election in hopes of election President Donald Trump.

Comey, who was leading the Federal Bureau of Investigation probe into alleged Russian meddling in last year's USA presidential election, was sacked by Mr Trump last month, four years into his 10-year term.

Trump has denied he'd ever met Putin, even though he had bragged for a number of years about his relationship with the Russian leader.

"There's a theory that Kennedy's assassination was arranged by the United States Intelligence services", Putin said. "Do you think we're gathering compromising information on all of them right now or something?" he asked.

Russian Federation is ready to listen to comments that are constructive with the goal of establishing a relationship "but we will absolutely not accept when these sorts of things are used as an instrument of political conflict", he said. We didn't have any relationship at all. He, however, suggested that private Russian hacker with "patriotic leanings" could have been involved.

And he is dismissing as "a load of nonsense" the idea that Russian Federation has damaging information on President Donald Trump.

PUTIN: I don't know about this proposal.

“I am not aware of such a proposal, ” Putin said referring to Kushner's alleged proposal.

"What fingerprints or hoof-prints or horn-prints, what are you talking about?" he asked. I just find it incredible how you created a sensation where there wasn't anything at all. "You created a sensation out of nothing, and you turned it into a weapon of war against the current president". "IP addresses? They can be invented, you know?" "Your lives must be so boring", if Americans are reduced to making up stories about Russian Federation, he said.

Putin also denied any contacts with fired national security advisor Michael Flynn. The former Fox News anchor recently joined NBC.

"I made my speech".

"Therefore, if we were to discuss some kind of political and social justice, then probably that electoral legislation needs to be changed and bring a situation where the head of state would be elected by direct secret ballot and so there will be direct tabulation of votes that can be easily monitored", he said. And I got up and left. That's it. Warner said he meant to use that time to ask Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats and National Security Agency Director Adm. Mike Rogers about reports that Trump had urged them to say publicly there was no collusion between the Russians and the Trump campaign. It isn't any ambassador's work to report to the president on his "routine work", Putin explained.

"You people are so creative over there, good job", Putin told Kelly.

"That sums up my entire acquaintance with Mr. Flynn", he concluded.

Mr Flynn was sacked in February after misleading the White House over his Russian links and has declined to testify to the Senate intelligence committee.

Trump has strongly defended Flynn, saying his former aide was the victim of a witch hunt.

He told Kelly he barely spoke to Flynn and was only told later who Flynn was. Do you think I have the time to talk to our ambassadors all over the world every day?
