Grim search at London blaze site continues as anger mounts

British authorities are launching a criminal investigation into the London apartment building fire - as the death toll from the blaze has almost doubled, to 30.

Two government ministers - Treasury Chief Philip Hammond and Trade Minister Greg Hands - said Sunday the cladding used on the building's exterior seems to be banned by British regulations.

He said the situation has become an emergency and that "all assets" should be brought to the table. The 24-story tower that once housed up to 600 people in 120 apartments is now a charred ruin. Hands cautioned that officials don't yet have exact details about the renovation that ended just previous year. The U.K. was already reeling from the bombing and mass stabbing, respectively, before this week's building inferno. "There will be many questions about this whole incident and so you will appreciate that it would not be appropriate for us to comment or for others to speculate on any aspect of fire, or it causes, in advance of these inquiries", managing director Ray Bailey said.

Police have said criminal prosecutors will be pursued if there is evidence of wrongdoing.

"The prime minister is this morning chairing a cross-government meeting to ensure everything possible is being done to support those affected by the Grenfell tragedy", the spokesman said.

He said the government is carrying out an "urgent inspection" of other tower blocks in Britain to assess safety.

The Queen added that during her recent visits in Manchester, the site of the suicide bombing last month which claimed 22 lives, and London the scene of a terror attack earlier this month and most recently the massive fire she has been "profoundly struck by the immediate inclination of people throughout the country to offer comfort and support to those in desperate need". "I really hope it won't, but it may increase", Commander Stuart Cundy told The Telegraph.

His family said in a statement released by police: "Mohammed was a very unbelievable and kind person".

European Union presses Britain to get its act together for Brexit talks
After the election, the right-wing UK Independence Party, which helped drive Brexit , was left with no seats in Parliament. Instead of opting for a post-election shuffle, the Prime Minister retained key figures in her cabinet.

He said residents are "angry not simply at the poor response in the days afterwards from the council and the government, but the years of neglect from the council and successive governments".

Choucair has added her own posters, appealing for help in finding her mother, sister Nadia and her husband Bassem, and their three children; Mierna, 14, Fatima, 11, and 3-year-old Zayneb. But she said the welfare of her loved ones was more important."Unfortunately this had to happen for things to happen".

"It is very hard to find the words to express how those families affected must be feeling, and it is our job to work tirelessly to provide them with the answers they so richly deserve".

He also pointed out that dozens of tower blocks across London built in the 1960s and 1970s, like Grenfell Tower, may have failed to comply with current standards.

"They are simply not recognisable because of the fire", Fiona McCormack, from the Metropolitan Police's identification team, said of the victims found inside Grenfell Tower. He came to the United Kingdom because he had ambitions and aims for his life and for his family.

The 23-year-old Alhajali is the only victim of the Grenfell Tower fire to be officially named as the hard process of identifying human remains continues.

Using drones and sniffer dogs, firefighters continued to search the burned-out housing block that looms over a low-income community next to the super-affluent Notting Hill neighbourhood in west London.
