Seattle police release audio of woman's fatal shooting

Her brother, Domico Jones, said that Lyles "was not a person you would fear or feel intimidated by" and that she was anxious the authorities wanted to take away her children, including a toddler with Down's Syndrome. Charleena had called 911 and reported an attempted burglarly into her apartment.

#CharleenaLyles was pregnant, called the police to report a burglary. A police audio recording has the officers shouting "get back!" and the woman saying "do it! do it!"

Police said several children were in the apartment at the time of the shooting and were unhurt.

"I know that they had to have known that, anything that was wrong with her, and I assumed they knew - I don't know why they would come in here and forcefully shoot her", said Lyles' brother, Domico Jones.

Police released a four-minute audio recording of the black woman's encounter with the cops.

The Blotter posting indicates that "both officers were equipped with less lethal force options, per department policy".

Court records show police were last at the housing complex for a call involving Lyles on June 5, and noted the case should proceed to a mental health court. They have promised a fair and thorough investigation and added that both of the officers involved have gone through training on how to deal with these types of situations.

The audio clip seems to jump abruptly at that point, and the officers can be heard walking.

"She let them in, then she started talking all insane about how the officers weren't gonna leave", one of the officers says, referencing a previous call.

He says Lyles had been struggling with mental health issues in the past year and was attending his Seattle church regularly while making an effort to improve her life.

The officers who shot Lyles are now on a paid administrative leave which is a standard protocol in a shooting.

She tells them she left her door unlocked while she went to the store and that while she was out her Xbox was stolen. "He was gone and so she went to jail", Ms Williams said.

Elderly warned to stop taking common cure all
The people aged over 75 are at higher risk of stomach bleed but the risk can be prevented by taking PPIs along with aspirin. They also warn that stopping aspirin suddenly (for those who have been taking it regularly) could have some complications.

On Monday night the Seattle Police Department also released the video from the dashcam and the hallway outside of Lyles's apartment. Her family members say not only was she several months pregnant, but insist she was too "tiny" to be an actual threat to the police officers.

"It is heartbreaking and unacceptable that Charleena Lyles died at the hands of those she had called on to help her", said Jay Ruderman, president of the Boston-based Ruderman Family Foundation, which advocates for people with disabilities. "I could have taken her down".

The dead woman was identified as 30-year-old Charleena Lyles by family members - who said she had four children and was expecting a fifth.

"While property crimes reports typically require only one officer to be dispatched, two officers were dispatched to this particular call for service because of a recent officer safety caution associated with the caller", a Seattle police statement said as to why the extra officer was warranted.

"Do our lives really matter to them?" he asked.

"Wait, is this the one with, like, the three kids?" one officer asks as they enter the building.

"Lyles' family is concerned for her and they have a strong desire to stabilize her mental health condition before it gets worse". At 9:38, one of the officers' arms can be seen in the doorway.

Recently, a federal court-appointed monitor found encouraging signs that the department had made significant progress in its reform programs.

Seattle mayor Ed Murray called the incident a tragedy and said it would be "fully investigated" by a federal monitoring team.

"We are here today grieving over another devastating encounter between the African-American community and the police", Murray said.

"What is the reason to use such lethal force?"
