Former Cavalier Brogdon named NBA Rookie of the Year

Sixers Twitter Shuts Down Bucks Rookie of the Year Bragging

Malcolm Brogdon took home the KIA NBA Rookie of the Year honor, becoming the first player in the common-draft era to win the award who wasn't selected in the first round of the NBA Draft. His assists (4.2) and steals (1.1) per game were tops among rookies while his 3-point and free-throw percentages ranked second.

In the NBA's first televised awards show, Rookie of the Year was announced first, similar to the Academy Awards leading off the show with best supporting actor - not the biggest award, but significant enough to attract attention early in the program.

Both Saric and Embiid made the All-Rookie First Team (see story). He was also one of just five players in the National Basketball Association in 2016-17 to average more than 20 points per game while shooting at least 50 percent.

Draymond Green made the NBA All-Defensive First Team for the third season in a row alongside San Antonio's Kawhi Leonard. I want to say thank you to my Bucks owners, the whole Bucks organization, Coach Kidd, and my teammates, you know, they've believed in me, they've given me tremendous opportunity and it's been a great year.

Fed's Mester unmoved by weak US inflation
But the Fed fails to recognize that favorable supply-side forces can keep inflation below its sacrosanct 2% target: forces such as increased.

The NBA named Malcolm Brogdon of the Milwaukee Buck Rookie of the Year. The 22-year-old turned heads all season and brought life to a young Milwaukee Bucks team that has a lot to look forward to with this young all-star. His first-year success was about more than just the numbers. He earned 20 starts, averaging 10.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists as a starter. After a long laugh from the crowd that was standing and cheering, Russell told the other centers that "you have no idea how much respect I have for you guys".

Chris Paul of the LA Clippers and Patrick Beverley of the Houston Rockets round out the squad.

Denver guard Jamal Murray, Celtics forward Jaylen Brown, Phoenix forward Marquese Chriss, Lakers forward Brandon Ingram and Mavericks guard Yogi Ferrell were on the second team.

Both players received all 100 first-team votes from a panel of sports writers and broadcasters. Now he moves forward as a valued piece of the core of a team that is a rising contender in the Eastern Conference.
