Ohio State University sued over refusal to let white nationalist speak

Rabbi Aharon Chaim Notik left co-program director at the Tabacinic Lubavitch Chabad Jewish Student Center at the University of Florida in Gainesville Rabbi Berl Goldman third from left co-director of the Chabad center and university president Kent F

Three supporters of the prominent white nationalist Richard Spencer have been charged with attempted murder after police said one of the men, egged on by his friends, shot at protesters "with the intent to kill" following Spencer's speech at the University of Florida on Thursday.

According to Gainesville police spokesperson Ben Tobias, it is "reasonable to believe they came here to bring some hatred".

All three face felony charges of attempted homicide, police said.

It was Spencer's first major public appearance since an August rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, which devolved into violent clashes and left one dead.

Just over an hour after his speech ended, three of Mr. Spencer's followers stopped their vehicle in front of a group of anti-racism protesters at a bus stop, police said in a statement. The men in the auto displayed Nazi salutes and shouted chants about Hitler, and one of them, identified as Tyler Tenbrink, 28, pulled out a gun. Tenbrink fired a single shot at an unidentified victim, which missed, then the three allegedly got back into their Jeep and fled. The protester was able to provide the license plate number to police, and officers put out an attempt to locate bulletin on the vehicle. The other two men reportedly yelled "kill them" and "shoot them" egging on Tenbrink.

Tobias said law enforcement agencies are still investigating the case, and he did not know if race was a factor in the shooting.

Tejas Express: 26 fall sick after having food on train
It further stated that the train departed at 9 am from Karmali and 230 passengers were served breakfast on board. The train was on its way from Goa to Mumbai when passengers complained about their deteriorating condition.

One of the men at the bus stop pulled out a baton and hit the rear window of the Jeep, authorities said.

Police say that one of the victims was able to get the Jeep's license plate number and later that evening an off-duty sheriff's deputy pulled the vehicle over about 20 miles north of Gainesville.

The three men were described by authorities of having connections to hate groups or espousing extremist views. Tenbrink went on to recite the "14 words" used as a motto by white supremacists: "We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children".

William Fears said "most of everything" he hears from Spencer resonates with him.

Fears told the Sun that a man known for driving his vehicle into a crowd of people in the Charlottesville, Virginia, protests "wasn't unjustified". Tenbrink was also charged with being a felon in possession of a weapon, reported The Gainesville Sun.
