PLO orders plans to be made for 'disengaging' from Israel

United Nations U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley

It expressed its deep concern about some other United States positions, especially the non-opposition of the Israeli settlements and the position against UNRWA, and the serious effects of these positions, including encouraging Israel to escalate settlement expansion of Palestinian territories and taking further steps hostile against Palestinians and their leadership.

The Committee listened to a briefing by Abbas and reviewed the prevailing conditions and action at the Palestinian, regional and global levels since the U.S. administration announced recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and the transfer of its embassy to it.

The Palestinian leadership has become increasingly frustrated with the American administration, particularly since President Donald Trump's controversial recognition of Jerusalem as capital of Israel, in a break with decades of global consensus that the city's fate should be decided in peace talks.

Israel and the USA, he said, sought to "liquidate the Palestinian national project".

"We don't seek a confrontation or a fight with the United States administration".

Abbas recently declared the Oslo Accords "dead".

Meanwhile, a meeting between Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah and Israeli Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon that was scheduled for Sunday was called off for unspecified reasons. He insulted the American President.

President Mahmoud Abbas is expected to address the General Assembly of the United Nations later this month and is determined to present request to recognize Palestine as a full member state. "He invoked an ugly and fictional past, reaching back to the 17th century to paint Israel as a colonialist project engineered by European powers", Haley said. "On the contrary - they are the ones taking several steps".

"The U.S. administration is itself saying that it's not an honest broker in the peace process", Erekat added.

"I ask here today, where is the Palestinian King Hussein? His recent actions demonstrate the total opposite".

The court also heard that an embassy official met the suspects before they fled and facilitated their check-in at the airport. After Siti Aisyah agreed to the offer, she watched pranks being played by an unidentified woman, before joining in.
