Trump weighs in on cancellation of ‘Roseanne’

President Trump has weighed in on the fallout surrounding Roseanne Barr's racist tweet targeting former White House adviser Valerie Jarrett by asking why he never received an apology for unspecified things said about him on the same network.

"ABC lost maybe $1 billion from this; this show was grinding out money hand over fist and they lost it all because somebody didn't say, "Get that phone out of her hand", Arnold says.

She urged people not to defend her and said of her Jarrett tweet that she was "ambien tweeting" at 2 a.m. "I made a mistake I wish I hadn't.don't defend it please".

"I think Joe Rogan is right about Ambien", Barr wrote in a since-deleted tweet Tuesday night.

Barr's TV show was a new version of her 1988-97 sitcom "Roseanne".

A reluctant John Goodman took a cautious route with a cameraman who asked him Wednesday about Roseanne Barr's racist tweets and the cancellation of ABC's Roseanne, in which he plays Dan Conner.

ABC has canceled "Roseanne" after Roseanne Barr's racially charged tweet about Valerie Jarrett Monday morning. During her appearance, Jarrett addressed the controversy over Barr's tweet, calling it a "teaching moment". The drugmaker, Sanofi, released a response saying "racism is not a known side effect of the drug".

The invite list evolved up until hours before the meeting - a reflection of the partisan distrust and the political wrangling. Adam Schiff, the top Democrat on the House intelligence panel, called Flood's presence "completely inappropriate".

She singled out Wanda Sykes, the show's consulting producer, who had announced she would not return for season two. "I am disappointed in her actions to say the least".

A matter of minutes later, she added: "hey guys, don't defend me, it's sweet of you 2 try, but.losing my show is 0 compared 2 being labelled a racist over one tweet-that I regret even more".

In one of the tweets that sparked outrage, she wrote, "Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj".

Hollywood talent agency ICM said in a statement on Tuesday it will no longer represent Barr.

"I am sorry for making a thoughtless joke that does not reflect my values - I love all people and am very sorry". That's partly why Barr attacked her. Barr frequently uses her Twitter account to deride Democrats.

But Barr fired back: 'I created the platform for that inclusivity and you know it. ME.
