Judge to decide if Cosby goes to prison for '04 sex assault

Bill Cosby better enjoy what little freedom he's got left'cause prosecutors in his sexual assault case want him locked behind bars Monday morning

The answers will begin to emerge Monday, when the 81-year-old comedian appears in court in Pennsylvania for his sentencing.

Cosby is legally blind and uses a cane, something his lawyers are certain to point out along with his achievements and philanthropy. Over several decades, he has been accused of assaulting over 60 women.

Former Temple University women's basketball administrator Andrea Constand testified that Cosby knocked her out with pills, then molested her during an encounter at his home in 2004.

Cosby's first trial ended in June 2017 with a hung jury, hopelessly deadlocked after 52 hours of deliberations.

The final decision rests with Judge Steven O'Neill, who will impose the sentence after a hearing that could stretch across two days in Norristown, a down-at-heel town just outside Philadelphia.

The stunning outburst marked a stark contrast from Cosby's relatively quiet public profile in recent years.

FDA comes to the aid of Big Tobacco and limousine liberals
The companies insist that the flavors are critical to helping nicotine-addicted adult smokers switch from conventional cigarettes. In fact, the FDA is so serious about curbing the problem, it's threatening to pull e-cigarettes off the shelves for adults, too.

But Cosby's conviction has given hope to many survivors, particularly those whose abuse occurred too long ago to pursue criminal charges, according to Rebecca O'Connor, vice president of public policy at RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network). That would make him subject to lifetime counseling and community notification.

Reportedly, Cosby is facing a punishment as severe as anything between thirty years of prison, or merely probation. Prosecutors hoped to call some of his other accusers to paint Cosby as a sexual predator deserving of prison.

Cosby, once the beloved star of the 1980s television comedy "The Cosby Show", eventually faced accusations from some 60 women stretching back decades, some of which had always been known but previously failed to gain traction. The hearings will also determine whether Cosby is designated a sexually violent predator.

The court documents, obtained by the site, however, did specify that the prosecutor's request to include additional women who did not testify at the trial was denied.

But behind the scenes, according to testimony, the married star sought out sexual encounters with young women, including actresses he offered to mentor, models seeking a part on his shows, and flight attendants he met in his travels.
