Trump again rejects halting Saudi arms sale over Khashoggi case

Sir Richard Branson has suspended ties with Saudi Arabia

Riyadh has warmly welcomed the creation of the working group but Interior Minister Prince Abdel Aziz bin Saud bin Nayef slammed claims that the kingdom ordered Khashoggi to be killed inside the consulate.

Trump said he would meet with Khashoggi's family.

Khashoggi has not been seen since entering the consulate.

A representative from Apple, however, confirmed the watches do not have fingerprint entry features, CNN reported on Saturday.

According to The Daily Sabah, a government-backed Turkish newspaper, Mr Khashoggi was so concerned about his safety that he set his Apple Watch to record mode before walking into the consulate.

The newspaper's account did not elaborate on how the Apple Watch synced that information to both the phone and Mr Khashoggi's iCloud account.

They have also alleged that they have video of the killing, but not explained how they have it.

Surveillance footage released by the Turkish government shows Khashoggi, a vocal critic of the Saudi kingdom, entering the consulate.

Betting suspended on The Everest
More than 1,000 protesters have disrupted the Everest horse race illumination by painting over the light show with torches and lamps.

If neither Mr Mnuchin nor Mr Fox attend, it would be seen as a huge snub by two of Saudi Arabia's key allies. What has reportedly happened in Turkey around the disappearance of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, if proved true, would clearly change the ability of any of us in the West to do business with the Saudi Government. Since then, he has repeatedly expressed his commitment to stronger ties with Saudi Arabia after the relationship strained under former President Obama, whose administration had fallen out with Riyadh over Mr. Obama's decision to pursue a nuclear deal with Iran.

"He praised the cooperation with the brothers in Turkey through the Joint Investigation Commission and other official channels, stressing the importance of the role of the media in the transfer of facts and not to affect the paths of investigation and judicial proceedings", he said.

The gadget transmitted the audio to his iPhone which was in the hands of his fiancee, Hatice Cengiz, 36, who is said to have listened in horror as she waited outside.

Speaking with reporters at the White House later, Trump reiterated that there would be "very powerful" repercussions for Saudi Arabia should the United States determine that the kingdom is responsible for the death of Khashoggi, who wrote for the Post's Global Opinions section.

Asked whether Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman gave an order to kill him, Trump said "nobody knows yet, but we'll probably be able to find out". There's something- you'll be surprised to hear me say that, there's something really bad and disgusting about that if that was the case so we're going to have to see. When we arrived at the consulate, he went right in.

He said Riyadh must let Turkish "prosecutors and experts enter the consulate" to carry out their investigation.

Pressure has mounted on the WWE to cancel the event, or change the location of it, following the drama that now surrounds the country of Saudi Arabia.
