Mueller has released his report. What's next?

Donald Trump Leaves for Mar-a-Lago Amidst Mueller Report Rumors

MSNBC host Katy Tur suggested Thursday that it does not matter whether Robert Mueller's investigation finds evidence of direct collusion between Donald Trump's presidential campaign and Russian Federation because the special counsel has already uncovered "quite a bit" of dirt on the president.

Trump said Attorney General William Barr would make the ultimate decision about how much of the report would be released to the public.

The report, still confidential, marks the end of Mueller's probe but sets the stage for big public fights to come.

It will now be up to Bill Barr, the U.S. attorney general, to decide how much of the report to release to Congress and the public. Over the 21-month investigation, Mueller has brought charges against 34 people, including six aides and advisers to the president, and three companies. White House lawyers, meanwhile, expect to have an opportunity to review whatever Barr intends to submit to Congress and the public.

In an interview with Fox Business' Maria Bartiromo that aired Friday, Trump seemed to be bracing for the possibility that he could be accused of having obstructed justice, arguing, as he has before, that his "fighting" back should not be considered obstruction.

Mueller began his investigation in May, 2017, after he was appointed special counsel after Trump fired the FBI director, James Comey.

Patriots owner Robert Kraft offered plea deal in prostitution case
It's unclear if the plea deal will be accepted by Kraft or any of the other 24 men who were arrested, the Palm Beach Post noted . In the wake of the bust hitting the news, a spokesperson "categorically denied" any wrongdoing on the part of Kraft.

Washington has been buzzing all day about the completion of the report investigating the ties between President Donald Trump's campaign and Russian Federation. Instead the former Federal Bureau of Investigation director wants the president to suffer a "resounding" loss at the ballot box in 2020.

Cohen, the president's former lawyer, pleaded guilty in NY to campaign finance violations arising from the hush money payments and in the Mueller probe to lying to Congress about a Moscow real estate deal.

It remains unclear which cases and segments of the investigation Mueller may have referred out to other offices. "It's all a witch hunt".

"No one, not even a president, is above the law", said Vanita Gupta, the group's president and CEO, in a statement. So has Representative Adam Schiff, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee.

But Trump has also signaled he isn't opposed to Mueller's report being released publicly.

"Let it come out, let people see it", the president told reporters on Wednesday. No president has every been removed from office via impeachment.
