SAN FRANCISCO (Politically Illustrated) – Arnold Schwarzenegger told his agent on Thursday to put his entertainment projects on hold so he can focus on his family.

“Governor Schwarzenegger is focusing on personal matters and is not willing to commit to any production schedules or timelines. This includes ‘Cry Macho,’ The Terminator franchise and other projects under consideration. We will resume discussions when Governor Schwarzenegger decides,” read a statement by Mr. Schwarzenegger’s office.

The announcement comes after the revelation Mr. Schwarzenegger fathered a child with his Hispanic housekeeper.

The housekeeper worked for Mr. Schwarzenegger for nearly 20 years and left on good terms, collecting a severance. Mr. Schwarzenegger is paying full child support.

His wife, Maria Shriver, the Kennedy heiress and former TV journalist, is contemplating divorce, which she would stand to gain financially.

“Every judge would know about what happened and I think would hold it against him,” Attorney Robert Nachshin, who has represented dozens of high-flying stars, told the Associated Press. “Judges are human beings, and Maria will definitely be the sympathetic spouse.”

The couple has four children.
