	China Becomes Second-Largest Economy
	China surpassed Japan in the second quarter to become the world's second-largest economy behind the United States, according to figures released by the Chinese government on Monday. "This has enormous significance," Nicholas R. Lardy, an economist at the Peterson Institute for International Economics, told The New York Times.
