“[Planned Parenthood] demonstrates the anti-religious, anti-parent, and anti-family bias of their approach to children,” said Emmett McGroarty, Director of Preserve Innocence. “To call this approach ‘education’ is a farce.”
Mr. McGroarty’s response comes as the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) released a report saying sex education should be provided to children as young as 10 years old and that sex education promoted by religious groups was ineffective.
“Young people have the right to be fully informed about sexuality and to have access to contraceptives and other services,” read the report. “These rights are enshrined in various internationally agreed human rights conventions and treaties, but - unfortunately - they are still not universally respected.”
“It is an agenda - the same agenda that underlines so much of sex education: to undermine the role of parents as the principal and primary guides to their children on issues of spirituality, morality and sexuality. It is based on an elitist presumption that parents are untrustworthy and incapable of that role and that the state should take over,” said Mr. McGroarty.
Mr. McGroarty wants to preserve your child’s innocence. Would you let him?
