Politically Illustrated Launches on the Ides of March

Where the Wild Things Are by Steven Neff (Politically Illustrated).

Welcome to PoliticallyIllustrated.com! My name is March. I am NOT a professional writer or illustrator or web developer. I have a passion for politics and I hope readers will come enjoy my interpretation as I describe current events through art.

Politically Illustrated is a vague or aloof website. The entire concept is to have this creative, odd publication 3,000 miles away from Washington, D.C. with one rule: no photos (only ink doodles).

I have no desire to influence or tell a national narrative like some liberal or conservative blogs, but to create, sketch or doodle little pieces of imagination which may or may not have significance.

Finally, PI is a learning experience. Everything here, from the art, user interface to content, is changing as I gain further knowledge in online journalism through trial and error.

I appreciate the time spent, please subscribe: RSS, Twitter, Facebook.

I will conclude with an adapted scene from Where the Wild Things Are:

Here is where the wild things are, I’m March.
I’m an explorer by drifting sea, I use to travel by air.
“Obviously, you have no perspective,” said the serious professor.
“Well, I have one of those...”
“But, you ate all of them?” bellowed the monster!
“No! I have no plans to eat anybody,” I said.
...
“You are hereby King, you’ll be a truly great King,” crowned another monster.
“Hey, King! What’s your first order of business?”
“It’s a wild rampant start,” I roared to the monsters.

Enter my world,
March Hare
