WASHINGTON (Politically Illustrated) – 4Chan became family oriented on Thursday in a one-off joke for a special segment on Good Morning America, according to a posting on 4Chan.org.

“Welcome to all of those who have discovered this website from Good Morning Today’s segment on Thursday. This place, named ‘/b/’, has a few rules in place to ensure quality posting. Please follow it to learn how to properly post on our imageboard!”

The notice outlines 5 rules, which run counter to 4Chan’s reputation:

– Please use proper grammar and spelling. This is the most important rule because we need to understand what message you’re trying to convey to us.

– Please no cursing or threatening posts. Many people confuse 4Chan’s /b/ with a violent and raging personality. This is simply not true, we are kind-hearted and never use profanity or violence.

– Read the rules and FAQ before posting!

– Please no pornography or gore. We try to keep 4Chan a family-friendly website, so keep all the images to funny cat pictures!

– Be smart and active in the community! Don’t be afraid to post or reply to any messages. If you would like to start a thread, first, think about a topic to speak about and make sure it is intelligent and thought-provoking.

All profanity, pornography and gore was removed from 4Chan’s ‘/b/’ board.
