Google Enlists the NSA Against China

WASHINGTON (Politically Illustrated) - Google heightened tension with China after enlisting the National Security Agency to investigate a corporate attack that may have originated in China.

“The N.S.A. is the world’s most powerful intelligence organization, which is also in the business of breaking into and extracting data from offshore enemy computer systems and of engaging in computer attacks that, in the NSA’s words, ‘disrupt, deny, degrade, or destroy the information’ found in these systems,” said Jack Goldsmith co-author of a report on cyberattack capabilities.

A Google spokesperson said the agreement will not permit access to information belonging to Google users.

“This is the other side of N.S.A. - this is the security service that does defensive measures,” said specialist James Lewis to the New York Times. “It’s not unusual for people to go to N.S.A. and say ‘please take a look at my code.’”

“Malicious cyber activity is occurring on an unprecedented scale with extraordinary sophistication,” said Dennis Blair the director of national intelligence before Congress.
